"OneYoga"© for Health, Healing and Happiness
With the Wide World of Yoga as her mentor, Carla’s teaching style is joyful, holistic, and informative. She incorporates insights from many yogic traditions into her classes, echoing TKV Desikachar's assertion that “it’s all one yoga”! To Carla this is no different than exploring and learning from all cultures of the world. In her early teens, Carla spontaneously developed her own way of stretching. At 16, she embarked on 7 years of daily Raja yoga classes, and after completing degrees in Education & Nursing, Carla immersed herself in 7 years of Iyengar yoga studies. Thereafter, Carla passionately completed 11 yoga teacher trainings in different yoga styles: Ananda Seva Yoga Therapy 500, Integrative Yoga Therapy 500, Kripalu 500, Iyengar style, Anusara style, Ayuryoga, Sivananda, Svaroopa Basics, Pilates mat, Yoga of the Heart, And Yoga Meets Dance™. Carla continues to study the teachings of Angela Farmer, Bihar, Kundalini, Shadow, TriYoga, Viniyoga, Yin, and Yin/Yang Yoga. Often on the cutting edge, 2 decades ago she combined manual therapy with yoga, and today she’s creating “AllOneYoga!”©, an inclusive eclectic yogic blend featuring highlights from over two dozen yoga lineages. Last but not least, various Tibetan & Vipassana Meditation Teachers have offered priceless guidance toward inner peace. Carla also brings to her teaching 21 years experience in Bodywork and Natural Therapeutics, as well as degrees in Education and Nursing.
"It's all One Yoga!" ─ T.K.V. Desikachar
1-on-1 Yoga and Yoga Therapy
1-on-1 Yoga, which is how yoga was traditionally taught, offers you the personal attention that no group class can give you. This ideal setting can help you create your own yoga routine, help determine which of the many styles of yoga would best suit your needs, or get you up to speed for group classes. Whereas 1-on-1 Yoga focuses on wellness and prevention, Yoga Therapy can help address specific health challenges or imbalances.
